He found a job at Telefónica and kept saving his salary to purchase a Super 8 camera. From 1972 to 1978, he got busy making short films with the help of his friends.
Almodóvar became popular during “La Movida”, the pop culture movement of late 70s Madrid.
He uses only his last name for his “Film By” credit (“Un film de Almodóvar”).
