Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch signed a contract extension after the season for an undisclosed number of years, reports The Athletic’s Cody Stavenhagen. The Tigers are also adding four new coaches to their MLB staff for 2024: Joey Cora (third base coach), Anthony Iapoce (first base coach), Ryan Sienko (catching coach) and Lance Zawadzki (assistant hitting coach). Former AL Rookie of the Year Bobby Crosby joins the staff as first base coach and Dan Hubbs joins the staff as the bullpen coach. Hitting strategist Dave Hudgens has been re-assigned to a hybrid role that will be based out of the team’s minor-league complex.
